Sustainable Living Roadshow at Forecastle Festival

Summer festi season is in full swing and I’m stoked for the upcoming Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY. A celebration of art, music and sustainability, Forecastle is another shining example of festival organizers supplying both an excellent collection of musicians and environmental education to the masses.

This July, as part of the festivities, The Forecastle Foundation will partner with the Sustainable Living Roadshow to create an expansive and engaging exhibit showcasing local, regional and national organizations focused on conservation, green technology and sustainable living. The Forecastle Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, committed to preserving the world’s most threatened natural habitats while educating the public on how to reduce their impact on the planet.

An arts and education collective, the Sustainable LIving Roadshow travels across the US in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles, sharing strategies for sustainable living via mobile off-the-grid eco-carnivals. Working with the Forecastle Foundation, this year’s Sustainable Living Roadshow will include a wide selection of events, workshops and exhibits. The Solutionary Showcase will be displaying a variety of alternative energy technologies and applications. Or if you’re looking for a little bit of carnival fun, the Conscious Carnival Midway will offer interactive games that will both educate and delight participants. From puppet shows to panels, this year’s Sustainable Living Roadshow exhibition is guaranteed to provide fun and educational experiences for fans of all ages.

Be sure to keep an eye out on Green Up Music for more updates and news on Forecastle and many other upcoming summer festivals. To learn more about sustainability focused events at Forecastle please visit their website here.
