Outside Lands Does Sustainability (PICS)

Surfrider's wave sculpture made from plastic bottles. The first day of Outside Lands 2010 on the grounds of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco saw rocking daytime sets from Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Cat Power and The Rebirth Brass Band. Evening slots will be filled by My Morning Jacket, The Strokes, and Furthur featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. But for those folks who need a little (green) break in between acts there is plenty going on in the festival’s “Eco Lands,” the epicenter of Outside Lands’ sustainability mission located in Speedway Meadow.

Here are just a couple of the eco-interactive installations found at Outside Lands on Saturday. Stay tuned as we post more photos as they come in.
